Migration & Citizenship

Naturalization, residency permits, refugee status, appeals against DNM decisions, and constitutional litigation against DNU 366/2025.

Argentina is one of the few countries in Latin America that offers foreigners a clear and legally protected path to residency and citizenship. Law No. 25.871 on Migration and Law No. 346 on Citizenship enshrine fundamental rights that allow those who choose to settle here to build a stable life: to work, study, form a family, and obtain an Argentine passport.

However, immigration procedures are technically demanding. DNU No. 366/2025 introduced sweeping changes that tightened several requirements and reorganised entire residency categories. A poorly prepared application can cost months of delay — or result in a refusal that is difficult to overturn.

At Tchestnykh & Asociados we are a team specialised in Argentine immigration law, with over 17 years of experience and active judicial representation before the National Court of Appeals in Administrative Matters. We advise in Spanish, Russian, and English.
